In 2015, Steve made his dream a reality, transitioning from his position as a Master Technician at a Chevrolet dealership to opening his own small shop in the Greenbrier area of Chesapeake. Steve grew Vencam into a trusted full-service auto repair center, starting with mobile jobs and car flipping. In 2019, Vencam moved to its current, larger location in Virginia Beach, giving the shop the space to expand its services and build a close-knit team.

More About Steve

Outside of auto repair, he loves spending time with my family, boating, and getting involved in family activities. He is passionate about off-roading and car drifting and is proud to be a Tallwood band dad. In addition, he enjoys firearms and computer gaming, and he’s a certified transpersonal hypnotherapist. 

Meet Jack

One of the pivotal moments in Vencam’s growth came in 2020 when Jack Rancorn joined the team. Jack's passion for motorsports, hands-on experience through his apprenticeship under Steve, and his dedication to providing excellent service quickly made him an essential part of the shop, and he’s now co-owner. He says, “Helping people through the automotive service industry was the best way for me to make a difference.”

When he’s not in the shop, you can find Jack involved in drifting, playing golf, or snowboarding. He also enjoys physical fitness, reading, and firearms.

Meet Zaxsen

Zaxsen, the shop dog, has been with the team since the beginning. He’s even part of our logo! At one point, when Zaxsen had puppies, they grew up in the office, and it was such a fun treat for customers who came by. Vencam Auto Repair is a pet-friendly space.
